CURRENTLY, I AM: 1

Image
Hello Friends! It's a few days left to bid this month goodbye forever. I'm glad you have made it this far. I should have started the 'Currently I am' tag at the beginning of the year but really I don't know what held me back. This tag that might go on for years is inspired by an IG friend and blogger Olufunke( @mslafunkie ), she's an incredible fashion and lifestlye blogger; you should visit her blog ( click here ) for juicy posts, trust me I don't mislead. Here's my first 'Currently' tag.... Currently I am... Wearing: Semi-Formal outfits! πŸ™„ Taaah! I am wearing what I have. I am still trying to embrace formal outfits especially cos of work but thank God I work in a place where you just have to look smart and presentable. Consistency is Underrated!

Image
Consistency is a very vital factor in the entertainment industry, it is essential to entertainment acts be it a musician, an actor, a comedian, a dancer, a VJ, whichever part one plays in the industry. It is what makes one a force to reckon with. It is a big determinant to your level of success. We won’t be singing the praises of the likes of Adekunle Gold, Davido, Odunlade Adekola, Gloria Oloruntobi (Maraji), Olamide, Kunle Afolayan to mention a few; if they were not knocking us off with their stuff back to back, this is what gives us chills when we listen or observe their works. Source: Google Images You know many have faded away as a result of not keeping up to an earlier set vibe, they come out with good stuff today and it takes about 4 to 6 new stuff from them before they meet up with what put their praises on our lips and this brings to my remembrance one of Denzel Washington’s quotes, he said “ Without commitment, you’ll never start, but more importantly, without consiste...

The Wait!

For over a year and a month I have been single, it was devastating at first as we had just four months to clock 3 years but when we spoke about a month after we broke up (she did the breaking) she told me she had moved on. It was hard to comprehend; how on earth do you move on after a relationship of more than 2 years that was so sweet and had no major issues? I was glad that she told me she had moved on though, cos it was all I needed to move on myself - what was I sulking for? Aunty no reason me again na πŸ˜‚. She's happily engaged now and I'm really happy for her. Source: Google Images They say one of the signs that you're ready to be in a relationshp is that you're happy being single which I literally am. Generally, my love life has been really weird but when I sum it all up, it has been the reason for my healthy heart, my happiness and my confidence. Deep down somewhere - not desperately - I know I am ready for another relationship but I am not panicking. F...

Energy Saving 2018

Image
Happy New Year Guys! How is 2018 unfolding for y'all? I know many of you expected that things would fall in place this early - some of you might have your expectations falling in place already - but I have to remind you that it is way too early to start nagging. You could use some more patience and positivity; some persistence too would pass. πŸ˜‰ My first post this year is from one of the blogs I am devoted to; a blog that is one of my inspirations - marcandangel.com . I have decided to publish this post here to help you stay focused for this year as I have noticed that I am in little ways spending my 2018 energy wrongly; something y'all might possibly be doing as well without knowing it. Source : Google Images These are things you're already doing in 2018 that you need to start dropping with a conscious effort: 1.  Mulling over past hardships. – You’ll never see the great things ahead of you if you keep looking at the bad things behind you. You are exactly wh...

As the Music Fades....

In some few hours 2017 will be gone with the wind and I must confess that it was a remarkable journey with you. It was the rebirth of this blog this year and I am really grateful to you for the visits, subscription, comments and shares. You are the reason I'd be stepping into 2018 with a flame of continuity and consistency. Here we are, the last song and I hope that after this music stops, it's every components - the genre, the notes, the beat, the rhythm, the lyrics, the tone etc - would leave a residue that could lighten-up the fire you need to burn through 2018. Source: Google Images This song might not have been a hit song, it might not have had the right lyrics, it might not have been recorded in the best studio, it might have been produced by some rookie-producer, could have possibly had the 'wackest' artist and then he featured some guy with the most horrible voice you've heard, you could even be wondering how it got on your playlist but it's just...

9 things you need to fulfill purpose.

Image
Hello friends, it's been a minute. Happy Sunday!! Recently, I was under a ministration at the National Transformation Conference at House on the Rock, Enugu by Pastor Shedrach Gentle. It was a deep message on fulfillment of purpose and I'm certain that it'd be really transforming if I share a highlight of the much revealing sermon. 4 The Lord said to me, 5 "Before I formed you in your mother's womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:4-5 "A man without purpose is like the world without the sun" Out of a lot that was said he gave 9 things you need to fulfill purpose.
